Bruce Hancock and Sean Miller received the Australasian Pacific Extension Network (APEN) Rural Extension & Innovation Systems Journal Award for Best Field Notes Paper at biennial conference in Brisbane on 14 -16 October, 2025 for their paper, “SA Livestock Consultants: Building the Next Generation of Livestock Professionals.”

The trip offered students valuable, hands-on exposure to contrasting production systems and highlighted how technology, environment, and management strategies interact across industries.
