Hancock & Miller: APEN’25 Conference Award for Rural Extension & Innovation Systems Journal Paper

Bruce Hancock and Sean Miller received the Australasian Pacific Extension Network (APEN) Rural Extension & Innovation Systems Journal Award for Best Field Notes Paper at biennial conference in Brisbane on 14 -16 October, 2025 for their paper, “SA Livestock Consultants: Building the Next Generation of Livestock Professionals.”

Lunch ‘n’ Learn: Research as a Career

On Thursday, Oct 16th, first year agricultural science students gathered for the AIA-SA division’s Lunch N Learn – Research as a Career event at the Roseworthy Campus, supported by the South Australian Drought Hub (SADH). Approximately 60 students were in attendance after collecting & analysing samples from their field trials in the morning. The event aimed to highlight “planting the seed” to get students to start thinking about a potential future career in research and reminding them of its importance in informing consultants and industry.
