Our speaker for the September webinar is Professor Grant Rawlin. His extensive career in veterinary science has called on all the main disciplines that make up veterinary public health: field operations, epidemiology, animal health policy development, research and the diagnostic laboratory.
Grant is currently Research Leader of Veterinary Pathobiology for Agriculture Victoria based at AgriBio in Bundoora where he leads veterinary diagnostics for the State of Victoria. He is Professor in Animal Science and Veterinary Bioscience, Agriculture faculty at La Trobe University.
Grant will be talking about the application of LAMP diagnostics in field operations – his adventures using the technology against African Swine Fever in Timor Leste and Foot and Mouth disease in Bhutan.
