David Hudson is an experienced biotechnology consultant in the plants industry and Dr Carl Ramage is an experienced consultant in the animal biotechnology industries.

They will discuss new breeding technologies such as oligo-directed mutagenesis, site-directed nuclease techniques, RNA interference, grafting, agro-infiltration and breeding techniques producing null segregants.

These technologies have enormous potential benefits for the plant and animal industries, increasing breeding efficiency and effectiveness as well as potentially providing economic benefits from new value added traits.

David and Carl will discuss the potential benefits as well as the regulatory challenges.
