Principal of Rudge Produce Systems, who provide a range of Quality Assurance (QA) support services to Australian Horticultural businesses. This includes independent assessment of fruit and vegetables; locally, prior to export and on arrival from overseas. The Horticulture Code of Conduct has established an arena of supply chain dispute resolution. Produce testing: chemical, micro and maturity testing programs that involve technologies such as Near Infra Red (NIR) and BrimA. Sharing information between supply chain partners in Quality Assurance using cloud-based QA systems which enables transparency, reducing misunderstanding. Thirty years of inspection experience has provided knowledge and exposure to most of the things that can go wrong in fresh produce logistics.
