The University of Melbourne recently hosted its Industry Day on 22 April 2026 at its Parkville Campus, bringing together students, industry representatives and university academics to explore career pathways, strengthen industry engagement within the agricultural sector, and participate in professional development sessions focused on employability skills, networking, CV and resume writing, and career preparation to support students transitioning into the workforce.
Students Gain Northern Industry Insight at ICMJ Conference

For many southern-based agriculture students, exposure to Australia’s northern beef industry is hard to come by. Despite its major role in the nation’s red meat supply chain, the scale of this sector can be difficult to grasp from the classroom alone. Recently in Rockhampton, the Intercollegiate Meat Judging (ICMJ) Northern Conference opened that door for four Adelaide University students, offering a firsthand look at a very different production system.
